About
Ever since I studied abroad in Beijing in 2015, I gained an immense desire to travel and explore different places all over the world. The effects traveling had on me were staggering.
During my time in Beijing, I ate exotic foods (scorpions, grasshoppers), got lost biking for 2 hours at 1am on my second day, met people from all over the world, lived outside my comfort zone (one of the hardest challenges of my life) and got to travel to my now second favorite place in the world, besides my home country Puerto Rico, Thailand.
For my sake and yours, I'll keep it brief.
My blog will feature exotic locations around the world along with travel tips that will help you with your travels as well. This blog is all trial and error, so everything I write here might or might not work but that is the wonder of traveling.
Oh, yeah, almost forgot, I am a solo traveller too. If you ever hesitated about traveling on your own, let me tell you to stop, take a deep breath, and hit that "Book Now" button and just TRAVEL! You will thank yourself later.
I hope to bring great content to inspire every one of you to get out of your comfort zone, take the plunge, and explore the world.
Here are some misconceptions people have about traveling that I hope to address in the not so distant future:
- There is no shame in traveling solo, I did.
- Traveling is not as expensive as you think.
- Traveling, believe it or not, is actually good for your mind and well-being (http://travel.usnews.com/features/why-travel-is-good-for-your-health/).
- The world is actually safer than what the media portrays
- Travel doesn't mean going to the other side of the world, it could also mean exploring different regions in your town, city, state, etc.
Thank you so much for reading my not so brief story, and I hope to serve as an inspiration that traveling IS possible for everyone. Don't hesitate in asking questions. I am more than glad to answer them.
Safe Travels!
